Fluoroelastomers
As a fully integrated manufacturer, Goodyear Rubber is equipped to formulate custom compounds specifically designed for your application.
Fluoroelastomers are a family comprising copolymers of hexafluoropropylene, vinylidene and terpolymers of tetrafluoroethylene. Viton is a common brand of fluoroelastomers and widely used in high temperature sealing and chemical resistant applications. Fuoroelastomers are known as FKM, categorized under ASTM designation. FKM tubing or hoses are recommended in automotive and other transportation applications. FKM O-rings are alternative to Nitrile rubber products in automobile engines with much higher temperature and chemical resistant applications.
