  • Compared to the compression set test, the compressive stress relaxation doesn’t evaluate the elastic recovery of a material after stress relief but the preservation of the sealing force at a constant deformation. Regarding the required machine, this testing is much more complex than compression set testing and it is not suited to take it at the finished part.
